REVIEW: 3D FIBER LASH MASCARA

Today I'm going to be giving a review on the younique 3D fiber lashes. I have literally been stalking pictures of this on Instagram and needed it in my life! So my sister very kindly sent me one as a little treat!

So I'm gonna start by talking about the packaging because it's very cute and it shouldn't be ignored!
It look like a sunglasses case but a really fancy one. It's like a leather looking case cuz I doubt it's real leather. It's so adorable!!

So when u open the box you will find two tubes. 1: the transplanting gel and 2: the fibers.

The information on the leaflet in the box tells you to apply your own coat of mascara, then the transplanting gel and lastly the fibers. I tried it with using my own mascara first and I also tried it with just using the transplanting gel. Both work really well, I do kind of prefer to just use the transplanting gel but thats a personal things for each person.

My review: This is a really cool product I have used the two faced one of these and I loved that so I was super excited to try this one.
I tried this product in many different ways like I applied just one coat and I applied like 4. After the second coat it does beging to clump a little so I feel two coats is more than enough for anyone.
I'm going to do a pros and cons list just so it's clear what I think about this product.

PROS:
1. It's really volumizes lashes
2. I love that the fibers are black it's makes the lash colour look an even more intense black.
3. It works really well and you don't need false lashes.
4. The transplanting gel can be used by itself as a regular mascara.
5. It does really make a difference to the eyes.

CONS:
1. It gets everywhere you will need to do ur foundation after this because you will destroy ur makes up but that's not a major deal I usually do my eyes first anyways.
2. They don't ship to Ireland.
3. It apparently only last three months when most mascaras you get about 4-6 months.
4. It didn't exactly lengthen them the way I wanted it too. I have quite short lashes but I'm still playing around with it.
5. It can clump quite intensely so just light layers each time and build slowly.

So I do actually really love this product. I wouldn't use it everyday because firstly I don't want to waste it and it's a messy little fella. But this product does what it says, it will give the false lash effect without the trouble of glue.

To anyone thinking of making the purchase I would it's $29 which is a little pricy but for two products you actually are getting a great and you will be saving a fortune of fake lashes!

I hope this helped
I'm putting some pics up of how it looks with makeup xox

All about that base

The base is the most important part of a look. It make's the rest of the makeup application so easy.
I usually start with my fix+ spray from MAC which adds moisture to the skin and preps the skin. I love fix+ I wouldn't be without it. It is a holy grail product for me. It really infuses the skin with moisture and hydrates the skin.
This costs €22.

On top of that I put on a moisturiser this for me locks in all the moisture of the fix+ as well as makes it a smooth base to apply foundation.

This is really light textured cream. It doesn't have that heavy cream feel on the skin. It says its a 24- hour moisturiser and that's great but by the end of the day, when I'm removing all my makeup I would apply another layer just becuase after makeup removal my skin always feels a little dehydrated, it hydrates my skin so well. I really love this cream. I dislike heavy creams and also  creams that are so light it dries very quickly and doesn't really act as a base at all. This one is a great cream in my opinion for people who don't want to clog their pores with extra creams as well as makeup and  it's so light its almost like a gel/serum.

Next I apply my Primer. This is the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow primer
This is a beautiful product. This gives the skin an amazing glow. It gives great luminosity to the skin. It makes the foundation on top of it glow from within. This primer adds a soft focus to skin. I personally don't find it very hydrating and it doesn't really leave my skin feeling "DEWY" but it really is a beautiful primer.
This is blended out. It adds a really pretty glow and warmth to the skin.

These are my current base products which help my make makeup not only stay put all day but also makes my makeup application so easy. This base rountine gives my skin a flawless look, it smoothes my skin out making my makeup look so much better.

FLAWLESS BASE AND DRAMATIC EYE

WELCOME TO MY BLOG!!!

I'm Emma Bolger. I am a makeup addict and artist. I have grown up on film sets, where I have learned this art from many different makeup artists. It's a passion of mine.

In this blog I will post pictures of make and  describe in detail as to how I achieved each look... Hope you enjoy XOX.

This look is a flawless base with a dramatic eye and a nude lip.

PRIMER:
To start with I used the charlottes tilbury wonder glow primer as a base. This prime is great for people looking for that extra luminosity under their makeup. It removes that very intense matte look and adds extra brightness to the skin. Also gives that JLO GLOW WE ALL CRAVE. It glides on the skin beautifully and makes the foundation application that bit easier.

FOUNDATION: Makeup forever HD foundation. This is a  really perfect foundation for that flawless base. It gives an extremely natural look while adding that great coverage element. This picture has not been retouched in any way this was done in natural light and it just shows how wonderful this foundation is.  For people who loves an SPF in their foundation then this may not be the one for them. This really is a truly great foundation. I used the colour 117. I really am the palest shade but I have blended this down my neck, it also has a great range of shades for each skin tone. i believe there are 26 shades. So it's a great range.

CONCEALER: Mac prolongwear concealer. I would literally die without this product I have tried concealer after concealer and this does the job like no other. It goes on in a very liquid consistency but then dries to a perfect matte. This does crease a littler under my eyes but unfortunately thats just my under eye area so I can't blame the concealer. SO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! used the colour NW 15 because I'm casper.

POWDER:  I don't typically use powders I have dehydrated skin which can sometimes be dry  when powders are involved. I used the new Bobbi Brown brightening finishing powder in porcelain pearl, this is a very fine powder so it isn't too heavy on this skin and with the colours added into the powder it gives an amazing brightening effect. I used it to really make my under-eye area look bright and awaked, on't be scared by the greens, pinks, purples and blues this really is a special product I would recommend to the fairer skinned gal.

CONTOUR: This is product is probably the most amazing thing I have ever used in my life. I have searched for that perfect contour and on christmas morning thanks to my extremely generous  and loving parents I received the Charlotte Tilbury flimsier bronze and glow.
I am not an "omg" girl at all...BUT OMG THIS IS INCREDIBLE!! It comes in a gold palette with two shades one is the sculpt shade and the other is  glow. Lets start with the sculpt shade this is just perfection its like Channing Tatum  it blends so smoothly and effortlessly. It glides on the skin it is a powder but oh my God is it the creamiest powder ever!!!!  It starts off so subtle so for a person who doesn't like an intense contour it works perfectly but if you are like me and like that bit of sculpting help then it builds so fantastically to create a chiseled look and it looks so natural. I find a lot of contour colours are very grey and it doesn't make my contour look natural.
The glow shade is beautiful it is a gold colour. I tend not to use golds to contour for me as I'm very pale but if I was to use tan I would definitely use the gold colour but for me I  don't use it that often.

HIGHLIGHT: I used MAC soft and gentle this is a very pretty highlight which is more on the pink shade. It gives my skin a really pretty highlight. I apply this along the ridge of my nose, my cupid's bow, the top of my cheekbones and just above my brows.

EYES: I started with a base of my MAC PROLONGWEAR CONCEALER, then I apply  my crease colour I used tranny from the pulp fiction palette urban decay. This colour is a neutral warm brown I then used in my other crease the Nars colour NEW YORK this a deep plum colour with a red undertone I find its very beautiful blended to the outer crease. Then on top of that to add extra dimension I  used MAC antiqued which is a deep brown with a subtle shimmer.
On the centre of my lid I used MAC pigment english gilt this is a cool gold toned pigment its very pretty. Then I added my winged liner to really intensify the look. I used INGLOTS gel liner in the colour 77 which is a jet black. This comes in a little pot so a brush will be needed. This applies to a jet black formula.
I added the gel liner to my lower waterline then I smoked out the bottom lash line by adding that first blending crease colour tranny and then used NEW YORK and smudged that along the lower lash line. Lastly I added my mascara I didn't use false lashes for this look I used seventeen HD mascara from boots. This is a really great mascara and so well priced.

LIP: I used MAC's please me with soft and gentle patted on the centre go my lip for an ombre'd effect.

So that is this makeup look and all the products I used! I hope this is of some benefit.<3
